Hiking

Kellogg Peak

Kellogg Peak

The Kellogg Peak Fire Lookout Trail is an intermediate trail. The trail gains 870 feet in 1.85 miles one way and offers spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from a reproduction of the original 1935 Forest Service fire lookout at the peak. Wild flowers, deer, elk, huckleberries, and hawks are common sights on Kellogg Peak. Don't forget your camera!

Before you leave the mountain house, please check in with Bike Patrol, located on the bottom floor, so they are aware you are hiking.
